Snow Daze

Here in Lexington, Kentucky you can find cars covered, lots of accidents, pissed off students, and a University trying to become a top 20 school that just doesn't give a crap. This is not a normal snow. It's not the pleasant kind that you wish for as a kid to build the most extreme snowman and go on great adventures to get beautiful pictures...no.no.no. It is the constant winds that blow the tiny powders at all angles of your body, the "be very careful because the ground is iced over, but YOU CAN'T SEE IT", and the so annoying snow because you have to go to classes in this mess, kind.
But I am trying to make the most of it & I want some Starbucks. Pictures will be posted soon.

V-Day

Not so much a Week"end"

Most Fridays you can find me sleeping in, lounging around, catching up on my leisure reading and just pretty much being a bum until about 3 o'clock when I am forced to get ready for work. Today is different.
You see, i'm in this class, MAT 515 (Evaluation and Specification of Product Development), and well, it's just as torturous as it may seem. The class is based off of two projects, a midterm and final. We are pretty much taking apart articles of clothing, evaluating them and putting them through the complete product development cycle. ie, yarn count, yarn density, resistance, wash, color testing, flammability testing, identifying each component of the garment like neckline, collar, sleeve type, garment style, blah de blah de blah de blah de blah. Anyways, I have two of these assignments due Monday so instead of my daily Friday routine, this is what i'm subjected to. :(
Tonight begins the weekend of all weekends for those Valentine's Day celebrators.
It's going to be a super long day/night, but you can bet your bottom dollar that i'll post a video tonight when I get home. I look forward to this every day.

I got excited this morning because I realized that i'm going to see my day next weekend in Nashville. These are some pictures of my family there.

Video #2-day 2

Day 2.

It is Thursday, and most people would agree that Thursdays typically drag on since it's one more day until a very much anticipated weekend, however, Thursdays ARE my Fridays, so mine go by slower than usual.
My day started out right...I woke up too late, rushed through the door of my first (9:30) class just in time to recite "Here" when the teacher called my name, spent all of 5 unexpected minutes with Brandyn because he forgot his drawing pad, and at 1:45 I have a Retail and Distribution Management exam, and I have no idea what the risks of return trade-off are.?
It has been decided to update my blog twice a day, one with words, and one with a video. I am so intensely excited about this new realm of my life. It puts me at ease to share my thoughts and day to day activities with the world, and while I've never been too keen on diaries, I feel this just may be a successful measure.
I also feel it's necessary to include a picture of important things in my life. Today, I'll include two. One of my two dogs, Eros and Apollo and one my my mom and I. They are the center of my being.
